Maisie is a Pintubi artist, shewas was born around 1958 near Mt. Liebig west of Alice Springs she was married to Barney Campbell Tjakamarra. Since his death in 2005 she lives at Kintore. Her vibrant pieces with the "sense" of fun, find a ready market
Maisie began painting in the early 90's and her themes symbolize the huge women's ceremonies that take place in the area between Kintore and Kiwirrkurra in Western Australia. Her art became popular recently with a number of galleries exhibiting her vibrant art which is rich in colour and tells the numerous women stories that circulate in her community.

Another "fun" painting from Maisie. The concentric circles indicate water soakages while the parralel lines are tali, sandhills. The background dotting is indicative of cermonial body paint. Women paint body paint designs on their upper chest and breast areas and adorn their bodies with feathers. These ceremonies are in honour of their country and in keeping with traditional law
